Hiawatha Week

Hiawatha is all about getting together and listening to great music and hanging out with good friends. The Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival is a festival held each year in Marquette during the next-to-last full weekend of July and features traditional, acoustic, and American Music.  The weekends highlight is the mainstage line up which includes national, regional and local performers, and singers/songwriters. The festival began in 1979 in Champion Michigan and beginning in 1984 its home has been Marquette’s Tourist Park.  Whether you are from Marquette or from out of the area, a tradition for festival attendees is to gather their family for a weekend of camping and amazing music.
