EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - Ben Waite

Many longtime DWS customers know that we often have young people working our
sales floor and this might be their first ever employment. We are proud of these
employees as we watch them grow, gain confidence and develop life long skills. We are very proud of all of our employees, especially those who start their work careers with us. Ben Waite is one of those employees.

Ben Waite is a sophomore at Houghton High School. In the summer he enjoys ripping around the mountain biking trails at the Michigan Tech, camping, and spending time outside with friends and family. When winter rolls around you can find him across the canal spending time at Mount Ripley Ski Hill.

His favorite part of working at Down Wind Sports Houghton is “helping people get
outside. I love the outdoors, and when I connect with a customer, set them up with high quality equipment, and see them leave excited, I know they’ll have a great time
outdoors”.
